The Venice Project / Joost – Invites Available

I’ve been fortunate enough to be a closed beta tester for The Venice Project, now called Joostfor a little while now.  This is a new startup from the Skype guys, and threatens to revolutionize the way people view TV.  “IPTV” technology is something that seems to be getting more and more of my mindshare (and time lately).  I find it fascinating, and truly believe we are on the verge of a major disruption to broadcast and cable television.  Definitely a topic to keep your eye on.

I would more than appreciate a Joost invite; when I’m doing school work or work is on computer is only time I have a chance to see TV because my five year old and six month old are either playing Baby Einstein videos or Ps2, the ability to watch TV on my computer would more than make my day. If possible please toss me an invite.

  14. I think the two “Skype” lads are onto something that has the potential to draw a crowd as big the one Skype has generated. With the explosion in numbers of Plasma and LCD tv sets being sold, combined with the fact that right now several interesting products are being introduced, to make it easy to stream data from your pc to your Plasma or LCD in your living room. This makes for a great mix with Joost.

    I hope for the best with the drawing of a Beta Token.

  19. Joost is going to be awesome! I am signed up as a potential beta tester but alas I have no invites.

    I am in South Africa and would love to see clearly we get it. I have a high speed broadband connection so it should not be a problem. I read many technology blogs but the Joost story is one that is particularly captivating.
